Infrastructure Manager (3-Month Contract)

About the Role We are currently seeking an Interim Infrastructure Manager for a three-month contract position. This role is crucial as it involves providing day-to-day leadership for a newly consolidated infrastructure team. You will oversee the operational delivery of local council horizontal infrastructure services, ensuring stability and efficiency in areas such as roading, water, transport, parks and recreation, horticulture, and solid waste. The ideal candidate will possess a well-rounded background in infrastructure or have specific expertise that can be applied across various domains and practices. Key Responsibilities In this role, you will lead a multidisciplinary team of 16 professionals. Your responsibilities will include: - Overseeing operational contracts, maintenance activities, and asset management strategies. - Managing and supporting technical queries and decision-making processes. - Providing oversight on contract management activities. - Conducting job safety analysis, ensuring health and safety compliance, and performing site visits. - Engaging with stakeholders to foster a collaborative and high-performance environment. Key Requirements To be successful in this position, you should have: - A recognized or relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering. - A minimum of 10 years of experience in New Zealand's infrastructure sector. - A valid New Zealand Driver's license. - Strong knowledge and understanding of local authority infrastructure, specifically in transport, roading, and three waters. - A solid understanding of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to local government. - Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage respectfully with diverse stakeholders.
