About the Company At Otago University, our Campus and Collegiate Life Services Division is proud to oversee a range of premier services that enhance the distinctive Otago experience. Our College Catering team is a significant food service operation, providing over 8,500 meals each day to eleven University Colleges. About the Role We are currently looking for Front of House Supervisors to join our dynamic food service teams at Cumberland College and 192 Castle College. In this role, you will be responsible for the front of house service of college meals, along with additional duties that include cleaning and some food preparation. Requirements We seek hospitality professionals who possess a diverse background in food service, along with strong communication and team-building skills. Ideal candidates will also demonstrate: - A high level of enthusiasm and commitment to customer service - Previous experience in the hospitality industry - Supervisory experience with service staff - The ability to develop and maintain effective networks and key relationships - A dedication to continuous improvement and the capability to organize and prioritize tasks in a dynamic work environment Benefits These are permanent, full-time positions that operate during the academic semester (38 weeks per year, from February to November) and are based in Dunedin. You will work 40 hours per week, according to a roster, with positions set to commence in May 2025. The hourly rate for these positions ranges from $26.05 to $26.57, with the potential to reach $27.60 at the top of the scale. Additionally, the University offers summer maintenance work as a Trades Assistant for catering staff looking for employment during the break (November to February). While the roles will start in Cumberland College and 192 Castle College, there may be opportunities for relocation to other Colleges on the Dunedin campus if needed.
