About the Role As a Shift Manager at Burger King, you will take a significant step towards advancing your career in restaurant management. This hands-on position requires you to work some evening and weekend shifts. Your primary responsibilities will include: - Supervising a dedicated team of fast food workers, including cooks and kitchen hands, providing guidance and support to ensure their success. - Preparing and serving our delicious menu items, ensuring every customer receives a great experience. - Monitoring and maintaining operational standards, including food safety and quality measures. - Addressing any issues that arise during shifts and escalating them to the appropriate personnel when necessary, such as for kitchen repairs. - Ensuring the health and safety of all employees. - Promoting restaurant profitability by focusing on cost management and maximizing customer opportunities. Requirements To be successful in this role, you should have: - At least one year of team management experience in the fast food, hospitality, or retail sectors. - Strong interpersonal and customer service skills. - Exceptional communication abilities that foster a positive workplace culture. - Experience in onboarding and training staff, which is a significant advantage. - The capability to handle stock deliveries and inventory management, including heavy lifting. Benefits We offer a competitive salary ranging from $59,000 to $62,000 gross per annum, depending on your skills and experience. You will have guaranteed hours of 40 per week, scheduled over any five days from Monday to Sunday. Additional hours may be available and paid for those exceeding 80 hours in a fortnight.
