About the Role
We are seeking a Medical Imaging Information and Business Coordinator (MIBCO) to join our team in a permanent, part-time position. In this pivotal role, you will lead and transform business operations within our medical imaging department. Your responsibilities will include driving efficiency, managing our administration team, optimizing workflows, analyzing data, and implementing service improvements that enhance both patient care and operational performance.
About the Team/Service/Location
Our medical imaging services span across Hawke's Bay, with locations in Hastings, Napier, Central Hawke's Bay, and Wairoa. The MIBCO role will be primarily based at Hastings Fallen Soldier Hospital. Our multicultural medical imaging team consists of Radiologists, Medical Imaging Technologists, Nurses, Administration and Booking Staff, and Orderlies. We are a busy, professional, and supportive team where each day brings new challenges and opportunities. About You
We are looking for a candidate with a passion for leadership, service improvement, and data management. While direct leadership experience is ideal, we are open to candidates who can demonstrate how they have developed their leadership skills in other roles related to service development or quality improvement. You should be dedicated to improving equity in health outcomes and possess the creativity to support your team through change.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership Strategy: Provide strong leadership to the administration and business functions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Operational Excellence: Develop and implement service improvement strategies to enhance workflow efficiency, patient experience, and staff performance.
Information and Data Management: Oversee the collection and reporting of radiology data in collaboration with business analysts and the RIS/PACS teams, ensuring data security, accuracy, and accessibility.
Financial Business Oversight: Assist the leadership team with budgeting, financial planning, and resource allocation to maximize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with radiologists, healthcare professionals, IT teams, and external partners to drive business growth and enhance services.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to healthcare standards, data protection laws, and imaging compliance regulations.
Innovation and Digital Transformation: Lead initiatives to integrate new technologies, improve digital workflows, and enhance business intelligence within the imaging department.
