About the Role
We are excited to offer a permanent full-time position for an Interventional Cardiologist to join our established and innovative team at Waikato Hospital in Hamilton, New Zealand. About the Team/Service
As part of our team, you will collaborate with 20 experienced Cardiologists and 6 cardiac surgeons. Our department features four cardiac catheterization labs, including a state-of-the-art hybrid lab equipped for real-time fusion imaging. We are recognized as a leading national center for structural heart disease interventions and are actively developing a pioneering cardiac imaging service across the Te Manawa Taki region.
About You
We are seeking candidates who have completed their advanced training in Cardiology (FRACP or equivalent). Ideal applicants will possess extensive training and experience in complex coronary intervention. Familiarity with CT coronary angiography and echocardiography is also preferred.
About Waikato Hospital - Hamilton
Waikato Hospital is a major regional hospital and a prominent tertiary teaching facility located in Hamilton, New Zealand. Serving as the regional hub for the Midland area, which encompasses the Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Lakes, Tairawhiti, and Taranaki districts, the hospital boasts approximately 722 inpatient beds and 22 operating theatres. Additionally, it features a dedicated outpatient clinic and procedure center, offering comprehensive services including radiology, laboratory, and pharmacy.
