    Location This role will be based at Wellington Regional Hospital and Hutt Hospital, with occasional support required across various locations in the Greater Wellington region. Contract This is a permanent, part-time position (0.7 FTE / 28 hours per week). About the Role We are excited to present an equity leadership opportunity within our Allied Professions Leadership team, working across Capital, Coast, and Hutt Valley (CCHV). This permanent, part-time role (24-28 hours per week) is ideal for an individual with experience in health or a related field, who possesses a strong understanding of te ao Māori and tikanga. The primary focus of this role is to lead and influence positive outcomes for whānau Māori through collaboration with Allied Health Scientific and Technical leaders and kaimahi within CCHV. The successful candidate will also oversee a work program aimed at growing our Māori Allied Professions workforce to ensure it accurately reflects our communities and supports the development of cultural competence across the Allied Professions. This senior leadership position will report to the Chief Allied Health Technical and Scientific Officer, with a dotted reporting line to the General Manager Māori Provider Services. The role requires presence at Wellington Regional Hospital and Hutt Hospital, with occasional travel to support activities at other Greater Wellington locations. About the Team/Service/Location You will become part of a friendly and enthusiastic team representing a diverse array of allied health professions. Collaboration with various Allied Profession leadership roles, Māori Provider Services, Mana Whenua of this rohe, and other key internal and external stakeholders will be crucial. About You We are looking for someone with experience in providing equity leadership to guide the Allied, Scientific, or Technical workforce at all levels. Your understanding of Te Ao Māori and the knowledge you bring will be highly valued. Effective communication skills and the ability to engage and influence a diverse range of audiences will be essential in creating connections that empower and drive kaupapa Māori capability, competence, and service initiatives.
