About the Role We are currently seeking a Clinical Psychologist to join Te Whare Ahuru, our adult mental health inpatient unit located at Hutt Hospital. In this role, you will be part of a supportive, multi-disciplinary team dedicated to providing specialized care for individuals experiencing mental health issues within an inpatient setting. Your professional interests will be nurtured, and your expertise in psychological assessment, formulation, and both individual and group treatment will be highly valued. As a key member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will collaborate with other health professionals to design and deliver evidence-based care that aligns with our Model of Care. In addition to your clinical responsibilities, you will have ample opportunities to engage in service improvement initiatives. You will also receive support from the broader Mental Health Addiction and Intellectual Disability Services (MHAIDS) network of clinical psychologists. About the Team/Service/Location Te Whare Ahuru is part of the Mental Health Addiction and Intellectual Disability Services. Our unit is a dynamic and supportive environment that promotes autonomous practice, research, and professional development. You will work alongside a committed multi-disciplinary team that strives to deliver the highest standard of care and rehabilitation to our diverse population. The team possesses extensive knowledge and expertise in various areas related to intellectual disability, mental health, and challenging behaviors. About You To be successful in this role, you will have completed a postgraduate diploma in clinical psychology (or equivalent) and possess a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Psychology. You must hold an annual practicing certificate and be registered with the clinical scope of practice.
