About the Role We are currently seeking permanent, full-time night shift Support Workers to join our team at our Christchurch Residential Services. In this busy and diverse role, you will provide support to individuals in various aspects of daily life, assisting them in pursuing their interests, such as swimming, personal care, meal preparation, household management, and teaching essential life skills. The responsibilities are broad and varied. As a Support Worker, you will work as part of a team, following shift schedules that provide 24/7 support. Some rosters may also offer additional sleepover payments. Requirements We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria: - A minimum Level 3 Health and Wellbeing qualification - A genuine passion for helping others, demonstrating kindness and understanding - Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred, especially with individuals with disabilities and challenging behaviors - A full driver's license is essential - An energetic and outgoing personality, with the initiative to encourage individuals to achieve their goals - Flexibility to work overnight shifts on a rotating roster, including weekends - A respectful attitude towards diverse perspectives and lifestyles - Empathy, respect, and cultural awareness, as our clients come from varied backgrounds with unique needs and interests Benefits In return for your dedication and hard work, we offer: - Competitive pay rates ranging from $23.50 to $29.10 per hour - A variety of shift options - Opportunities to earn while you learn through free training towards NZQA Health and Wellbeing - Access to an Employee Assistance Program for health and wellbeing support - A referral bonus for bringing friends into our team If you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of others, we would love to hear from you.
