About the Role
We are seeking a Rostering Support Officer to join our Human Resource Shared Services (HRSS) team. This role is essential in supporting the largest workforce in the South Island, ensuring that our staff are paid accurately and on time. Our dedicated team works diligently to uphold high standards and prioritize the needs of our kaimahi (staff).
In this position, you will have key responsibilities that include:
- Providing essential support and advice to our managers
- Translating work schedules into accurate wage data
- Ensuring quality payment data is maintained
- Collaborating with colleagues and kaimahi to enhance our processes
- Training and supporting our people leaders and roster transactors
- Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation
- Assisting in work prioritization
- Providing information for audits

About the Team
You will be joining a team of nine dedicated specialists who foster an inclusive and supportive environment. Our team celebrates achievements and milestones together. As a Roster Officer, you will report directly to the Rostering Support Team Leader. Our office is located in the Christchurch City Centre, and there may be opportunities for occasional remote work and flexible hours.

The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience working with complex reports and intermediate knowledge of systems and reporting tools
- Familiarity with employment agreements and payroll processes
- Background in the health sector or other large 24/7 organizations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Skills in problem solving and conflict resolution
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Ability to meet tight deadlines
- A customer-focused approach
