About the Role We are currently seeking a BIM Manager (Digital Engineering) to join our national design team at Calder Stewart. This role involves managing external consultants and stakeholders, both internal and external, and can be based in either our Christchurch or Milton office. Given the national scope of this position, some overnight travel may be required. The BIM Manager will focus on commercial and industrial design/build projects, specifically in software and process development and implementation. You will play a crucial role in transforming client concepts into actionable research and development, evaluation, and implementation, including the creation of standard operating procedures and training at both project and business levels. Requirements We are looking for a professional individual with the following qualifications and attributes: - A minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial or industrial construction, ideally with a background in New Zealand projects - A solid understanding of architectural and structural design, as well as familiarity with mechanical, electrical, fire, and environmental disciplines - Proficient in Autodesk Revit and/or AutoCAD, along with other BIM software - Experience managing multiple projects, typically overseeing around 4 to 6 projects at a time - Proven experience in research and development of design/BIM packages leading to implementation and standard operating procedure development - Desirable adult teaching skills or experience - Excellent communication and organizational abilities - A strong work ethic and demonstrated leadership experience - A personable and accommodating demeanor, capable of accepting feedback and thinking laterally Culture and Benefits At Calder Stewart, we take pride in our supportive company culture, which fosters long-term career opportunities for all employees.
