About the Role
We are seeking an Automation Engineer to join our engineering team at our Quality Bakers manufacturing site in East Tamaki, Auckland. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the development and implementation of electrical and automation plans aimed at optimizing our manufacturing processes.
Key responsibilities for this position include:
- Assisting in the development and implementation of strategic capital investment plans, particularly those covering electrical and automation at the site.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate automation solutions that align with our production goals and meet quality standards.
- Monitoring and maintaining automation equipment to minimize downtime and effectively resolve issues related to electrical, software, and hardware components.
- Analyzing production data to identify inefficiencies and proposing automation solutions that enhance productivity, energy efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
About You
To succeed in this role, we are looking for a registered electrical or automation engineer with experience in the food, baking, or dairy manufacturing industries.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Proven engineering experience in an automation or electrical role, supported by an Electrical trade compliant qualification.
- Familiarity with BMS/SCADA systems or Plant Master environments.
- Strong skills in PLC root cause analysis for timely breakdown resolutions.
- A good understanding of process flow, with the ability to follow P&IDs.
- EWRB registration.
