We are currently inviting applications from qualified HVAC Engineers with commercial experience to join our team at McMurdo Station in Antarctica for the Summer 2025/26 season. About the Role Our HVAC Engineers will be working on a significant commercial construction project in one of the most remote and stunning locations in the world. This role requires dedicated team players who are willing to contribute hands-on and support their colleagues throughout the demanding environment. Responsibilities will include working with boilers, HVAC fans, unit heaters, hydronic pumps, wall radiators, and pipe fitting. Deployments are expected to run from approximately October 2025 through March 2026. Please note that these positions require a strong commitment, as you will be stationed in Antarctica for several months. Requirements To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria: - Hold a relevant qualification in HVAC engineering with commercial experience. - Be a New Zealand or US citizen with a valid passport, currently residing and working in New Zealand. - Have received vaccinations for Flu, Tdap, and MMR. - Possess a Full Class 1 NZ Driver Licence and maintain a clean criminal record. - Be prepared to undergo medical and dental checks, as well as a pre-employment drug and alcohol test. - Be willing to travel to Tauranga for medical and dental examinations, with expenses covered for those coming from outside the Bay of Plenty. - Demonstrate strong IT literacy and attention to detail, as well as the ability to manage complex paperwork.
