    Clinical Team Leader - CADS Pregnancy and Parental Service Permanent role Full-time Position (80 hours per fortnight) Based in Point Chevalier We welcome applications from candidates with diverse backgrounds, including nurses, social workers, occupational therapists, counselors, and alcohol and other drug (AOD) practitioners. About the Company At Community Alcohol and Drug Services (CADS) Auckland, we are proud to be the largest Alcohol and Other Drugs service in New Zealand. We provide free community and inpatient treatment from multiple locations across Tamaki Makaurau. Our mission is to empower the community to reduce the harm associated with substance use while promoting recovery and well-being. About the Role We are currently seeking a full-time Clinical Team Leader to join our Pregnancy and Parental Service (PPS) in Point Chevalier. The PPS is a multi-disciplinary regional service dedicated to supporting pregnant women and parents of children under three who are facing challenges with alcohol and/or other drug use. Our clients often experience disconnection from health and social services and may confront complex issues such as family violence, physical and mental health concerns, inadequate housing, socio-economic challenges, and stigma. The primary aim of the PPS is to enhance outcomes for unborn and young children through interventions that minimize harm and foster positive health trajectories. Our team is committed to providing assertive outreach and nurturing therapeutic relationships with our clients and their families. We focus on delivering evidence-based interventions that strengthen family environments through client-led, strength-based goal planning. About You We are looking for an experienced, fully registered clinician with qualifications in applied alcohol and drug studies, nursing, social work, counseling, psychology, or occupational therapy. This Team Leader role offers an exciting opportunity to elevate your clinical practice while developing your leadership and managerial skills. You will engage directly with clients, support fellow clinicians and peer support specialists, and contribute to ongoing recruitment, retention, and quality improvement practices. Essential qualifications and skills include: - A harm reduction and equity focus with a strengths and solution-oriented mindset - A non-judgmental approach, excellent communication and engagement skills - Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team - Leadership and/or managerial experience - Clinical experience in the addiction or mental health sector, or a related field - Full registration with a professional body (such as DAPAA NZ, nursing, social work, counseling, psychology, occupational therapy, or similar) - A full, clean driver's license - Legal right to work in New Zealand - Ability to implement Te Tiriti O Waitangi in daily practice Preferred qualifications and experiences include: - Familiarity with other health and social service providers, including Oranga Tamariki, Corrections, Māori health providers, and NGOs - Experience in group facilitation Benefits Working within our regional service offers numerous opportunities for professional development and career progression.
