About the Role We are currently seeking a Centre Cook to join our team at Bear Park Remuera, filling a position due to maternity leave. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing nutritious, balanced, and delicious meals for up to 120 children each day. We value creativity and encourage our team members to explore innovative and enjoyable ways of working, which extends to our kitchen. As part of our welcoming and friendly team, you will collaborate with colleagues to ensure that we provide the best possible nutrition and learning environment for our children. This position offers great working hours from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, amounting to 40 hours per week, with some flexibility available for the right candidate. Requirements The ideal candidate will possess a Food Safety Certificate and a minimum Level 5 cooking qualification. You should have proven experience managing budgets and a strong understanding of catering for food allergies and intolerances. Enthusiasm and engagement are essential, as this role involves direct interaction with children. We are looking for someone who can start immediately, with the role extending through to February 2026. Applicants must hold New Zealand residency or a relevant New Zealand Work Visa.
