About the Role We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Casual Full-Time Cook to join our team at the Botany Birthing Unit in Botany, Auckland. The hours for this role will vary based on business needs, requiring flexibility and availability as needed. In this role, you will be responsible for bulk cooking for patient meals, as well as a variety of other tasks, including: - Assembling and preparing ingredients - Preparing dairy, dry goods, fruits, and vegetables - Preparing meat, seafood, and poultry - Cooking and serving menu items for food service - Portioning and plating food - Establishing and maintaining quality control standards - Completing end-of-service requirements - Performing general cleaning duties Requirements We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications and skills: - Experience working in a commercial hospital kitchen environment - Ability to work unsupervised when needed - Strong food preparation and presentation standards - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Exceptional customer service abilities - Reliability, adaptability, and flexibility - A willingness to learn and be a team player - Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining focus - Multitasking skills under pressure and a positive attitude - Physical fitness for prolonged walking, standing on concrete floors, and manual handling - Awareness of health and safety standards in the workplace Candidates must have New Zealand residency or a valid New Zealand work visa and be able to pass a police clearance.
