About the Role We are currently looking to expand our team of skilled and compassionate caregivers in the Manawatu Region. This role offers the flexibility to fit around your lifestyle and commitments, making it an ideal opportunity for those seeking casual work. While we cannot guarantee specific hours, we invite interested applicants who reside between Levin, Palmerston North, and Feilding to connect with us for potential opportunities as they arise. Our agency provides 24-hour care, seven days a week, ranging from companionship to palliative care. All shifts have a minimum duration of two hours, with many lasting longer. We collaborate closely with our caregivers to ensure that they can work hours that accommodate their family and other responsibilities. Requirements To be considered for this role, candidates must possess a full and current driver’s license, along with experience in personal care. Our after-hours service operates seven days a week, ensuring that caregivers have the support of a dedicated coordinator when working during evenings or weekends. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in the following areas: - Companionship and home help, including light housekeeping - Meal preparation - Personal care, such as showering, dressing, and grooming - Dementia care - Palliative care Ideal candidates should also demonstrate the following qualities: - A warm personality with a genuine concern for and enjoyment of working with older individuals - Strong interpersonal skills and an engaging demeanor - High personal integrity - A clean, full New Zealand driver’s license and access to a vehicle - Recent caregiving or healthcare experience preferred - The ability to work legally in New Zealand (a valid working visa is required) - A clear background and criminal check Benefits We are committed to supporting our clients in living independently in their homes, and we deeply value the work our caregivers do.
