About the Role
We are currently seeking a Clinical Psychologist to join our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) team at Te Nikau Hospital in Greymouth. This is a permanent, full-time position requiring 40 hours of work per week. As a vital member of our skilled and passionate team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the mental health of children and young people across the West Coast. You will work closely with these individuals and their whanau, providing assistance throughout their mental health journey.
This position involves working within the community as part of our integrated model of care, where you will have access to opportunities and support for your professional development and ongoing role enhancement.
About You
We are looking for experienced Clinical Psychologists who are capable of working full-time; however, we encourage you to outline any alternative circumstances in your cover letter for consideration. To be successful in this role, you should demonstrate the following qualifications and attributes:
- Clinically credible, respected, and person-centered approach
- High standards of personal competence and professional practice
- New Zealand Registered Psychologist with a current Annual Practicing Certificate, with no conditions that may hinder your ability to fulfill the role's requirements
- Completion of, or a personal commitment to undertaking, cultural competency training
- Ability to work effectively with children
- A full, clean New Zealand driver’s license and the capability to drive a manual transmission vehicle
- Proficiency in computer literacy, including the Microsoft Office suite
