About the Role We are currently seeking a Class 4 Driver/Hydro Vac Operator for our client based in Dunedin. This privately owned business is dedicated to delivering exceptional results across the South Island. In this role, you will operate a hydro vac unit, which utilizes high-pressure water jets to break up soil and then vacuums it into the truck for disposal at a designated site. This process is preferred over traditional excavation methods, as it minimizes damage to underground services. The position offers an excellent rate of pay, full training, and the opportunity to work with a friendly and skilled team. The role requires a commitment to starting immediately. Requirements To be successful in this position, you should possess the following qualifications: - A current Class 4 driver’s license (full license) - Previous Class 4 driving experience - Hydro vac experience is preferred, but not essential - Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test - Eagerness to learn and contribute to a supportive team environment - Availability for an immediate start Please note that the job consists of approximately 20% driving and 80% operating the hydro vac on the ground. The role can be physically demanding, so candidates should be fit and healthy.
