About the Role
We are looking for a Cook to join our culinary team at St Joseph's Lifecare in Upper Hutt, Wellington. This is a casual position, with shifts available as needed, particularly during the morning and on weekends. In this role, you will have the opportunity to create delicious and nutritious meals that positively impact the lives of our residents.
We seek someone with a positive attitude who understands the importance of good food for overall well-being. You will play a key role in preparing hearty meals while ensuring that individual dietary requirements are met. Reliability and a willingness to assist wherever needed are essential for this position.
Your Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Proven experience in catering and food service, preferably in a commercial kitchen environment
- A culinary qualification or equivalent practical experience
- A passion for preparing good food and delivering an exceptional dining experience
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and time management skills
- A genuine desire to help others, coupled with excellent customer service skills and a friendly demeanor
- Experience working to high-quality standards
