About the Role
We are currently seeking a permanent Anatomical Pathologist to join our Surgical Pathology Unit. This unit is responsible for providing histology and cytology services to North Shore and Waitakere Hospitals, as well as BreastScreen Waitemata Northland and BreastScreen Auckland Central. Our IANZ-accredited department is well-equipped and processes around 57,000 specimens from 30,000 patients each year, covering a variety of specialties including gastroenterology, breast, gynaecology, genito-urinary, skin, and head and neck. While full-time employment is preferred, we are open to negotiations regarding work hours.
About the Team
Our team consists of 12 full-time equivalent (FTE) specialist Anatomical Pathologists who work as generalists while also having areas of subspecialist interest. The department is involved in the registrar rotation for the Auckland training scheme, and experience in cytopathology is highly desired for this position.

The ideal candidate for this role must hold current registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand and The Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (RCPA).
