Our team is passionate about food and committed to maintaining high standards in every aspect of our operations. About the Role We are seeking an experienced cook to join our talented kitchen team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes according to the specifications provided by our chef. You will play a key role in ensuring the quality and presentation of our food, while also contributing to menu development. Job Responsibilities You will prepare and cook food and dishes as prescribed by the chef. Monitoring the temperature and quality of the food will be essential to maintain our high standards. In collaboration with the chef, you will assist in designing and preparing the restaurant menu. Your responsibilities will also include seasoning food during cooking, portioning dishes, plating, and adding gravies, sauces, and garnishes to enhance presentation. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to train other kitchen staff and apprentices, sharing your knowledge and expertise. Requirements To be considered for this position, you should have at least four years of experience in the hospitality industry. A minimum of a Level 5 qualification or equivalent in cookery or culinary arts is required. We are looking for someone who is eager to learn and can understand standard recipe processes. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team are essential. You must also be available on weekends and public holidays to meet the demands of our busy restaurant.
