About the Role
We are excited to offer a permanent full-time opportunity (0.94 FTE) for a dedicated Registered Health Professional, such as a Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist, or Social Worker, to join our team as an Associate Clinical Manager. This role involves working a 4x2 roster pattern, predominantly during day and afternoon shifts.
In this position, you will utilize your leadership skills and extensive clinical experience to support the daily operations of our Crisis Resolution Community Mental Health team. This team is part of the Waitaha Canterbury Specialist Mental Health Services and provides crucial 24-hour care to individuals experiencing psychiatric crises.
Requirements
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic health professional with a minimum of five years of clinical expertise in mental health. You should possess strong clinical and operational leadership skills, as well as the ability to foster a supportive environment for our staff. Key qualifications and skills include:
- Proven leadership abilities with effective communication skills to build positive relationships at all levels.
- Capability to facilitate high-quality professional practice and provide expert leadership within the service.
- Experience working collaboratively with both outpatient and inpatient teams, as well as across the broader mental health system.
- Certification as a Duly Authorized Officer for the Mental Health Act is advantageous, although training will be provided if you are not currently certified.
- A current Annual Practising Certificate (APC) with a Mental Health Scope of Practice.
