About the Role
We are currently seeking full-time Support Workers to join our team in Epuni. In this role, you will play a crucial part in assisting individuals to develop their independence and daily living skills. Your responsibilities will include helping clients with public transportation, employment, financial management, and meal preparation. Depending on the work environment, you may also assist with shopping, cleaning, personal care, and medication administration.
We require flexibility in your availability, as you will need to work various shifts, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and overnight shifts.
Requirements
No prior experience in the health and disability sector is necessary; however, a strong desire to pursue a career as a Support Worker and a positive attitude are essential. We will provide full training and orientation for those who demonstrate enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.
Additional requirements include:
- Availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and sleepover shifts
- Proficiency in using computers and tablets daily
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Physical fitness to provide necessary physical support
- A Full NZ driver's license or a willingness to work towards obtaining one
Benefits
We offer a competitive hourly wage ranging from $23.84 to $29.10, depending on your relevant qualifications, with the potential to earn more as you advance your training. IDEA Services will support you in completing Level 2, 3, and 4 Certificates in Health and Wellbeing qualifications.
