Orthopaedic Registrar, Rotorua Hospital

We are looking for both training and non-training registrars to contribute to the Lakes District Health Board as part of your training year in 2026. About the Role
As a member of the Lakes Orthopaedic Department, you will provide comprehensive care for orthopaedic patients, including in-patient, day patient, and out-patient services, under the guidance of our experienced consultants. Working in a smaller hospital setting, you will have the opportunity to experience both general and acute medicine while collaborating with a supportive team, including consultants, house officers, medical students, and nursing staff. The role offers a balanced roster that allows you to explore the beauty and activities that Rotorua has to offer, including longer summers and shorter winters.

About You
We are seeking candidates who possess:
- Registration or eligibility for general or provisional general registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand. You can check your registration eligibility by visiting the Medical Council's website.
- A minimum of two years of post-qualification experience.
- A strong interest in providing acute and general medical care to our community.
