National Retail Manager - Apparel & Footwear

About the Role: We are looking for an experienced National Retail Manager seeking a new opportunity, or a Senior Regional Manager ready to transition into a national leadership role. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in apparel and/or footwear retail, with experience in both flagship and outlet environments. This senior leadership position will report directly to the General Manager and will collaborate closely with the Commercial Manager, as well as the Buying, Planning, and Marketing teams. You will play a crucial role in defining the strategic direction of our retail network, leading efforts to drive operational excellence and sustained commercial growth. Key Responsibilities: You will be responsible for the comprehensive leadership of all retail store operations across our national network. Your focus will be on driving performance by ensuring that in-store processes are consistent, accurate, and efficient. You will establish clear Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and accountability frameworks for the retail team. In addition, you will lead and enhance the Retail Training Academy, covering aspects such as induction, product knowledge, service, and sales coaching. A key part of your role will be to champion a culture of service excellence in both stores and the support office. You will act as the primary link between store teams and the head office, ensuring effective communication flows both ways. You will oversee sales management, merchandising execution, and adherence to brand standards. Additionally, you will manage stock, personnel, and resources to maximize store performance and shape strategic initiatives for growth and long-term success. About You: We are seeking a commercially minded, hands-on retail leader with a proven track record in the apparel or footwear sectors. You should have a deep understanding of flagship and outlet operations, as well as the ability to lead high-performing teams while also being willing to engage in hands-on activities when necessary. You will be confident in navigating a fast-paced, high-volume retail environment and possess a passion for fostering strong, service-oriented cultures and scalable success.
