About the Role We are currently seeking a high-performing Grocery Assistant to join us on a Fixed-Term Contract for six months to cover maternity leave. This role is ideal for individuals who possess a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. As a Grocery Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring our customers enjoy a positive shopping experience. In this position, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including: - Stripping pallets of product deliveries and organizing them on the appropriate storeroom shelves - Ensuring that display shelves in your designated aisles are well-stocked and presented - Regularly checking your assigned areas and maintaining stock levels with minimal disruption to customers - Assisting customers with their inquiries and guiding them to products as needed - Undertaking housekeeping duties as required - Providing support in other departments when necessary Requirements To succeed in this role, you should bring the following attributes: - Excellent communication skills to interact clearly with customers - Proven reliability, particularly in terms of attendance - Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and self-motivation - A willingness to go the extra mile for customers and teammates - Strong organizational skills to effectively prioritize and manage your workload - A desire to learn and grow within the role - Flexibility to adapt to changing job requirements, workloads, and deadlines - A sense of ownership over your work, demonstrating integrity and a strong work ethic - Self-motivation and a positive attitude - Physical stamina to handle repetitive tasks, lift and move heavy objects (up to 25kg), and stand for extended periods The position is full-time, with hours from Sunday to Thursday, 4:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
