About the Role We are seeking enthusiastic food lovers to join our team at Sanford & Sons Retail and Fish Market Grill. If you are excited about fresh catches, sizzling seafood, and the lively atmosphere of a bustling market, this casual Retail Assistant position may be the perfect fit for you. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with top-quality seafood, serve eager customers, and be part of an energetic team at the iconic Auckland Fish Market. Your day-to-day responsibilities may include: - Serving the freshest fish and seafood to our customers - Assisting with preparation and cooking in the Fish Market Grill - Managing transactions at the till and providing counter service - Delivering friendly and exceptional service to both locals and tourists - Helping with inventory management and stock takes - Ensuring compliance with food safety and cleanliness standards Requirements We are looking for individuals who: - Have a genuine love for food, especially seafood, and enjoy sharing that passion with others - Possess customer service experience and a positive, can-do attitude - Are detail-oriented and organized, even during busy periods - Have excellent communication skills and thrive in a team environment - Are flexible and reliable, whether opening or closing the shop Please note that you must be eligible to work in New Zealand.
