About the Team
Our Technology business unit is dedicated to the effective delivery and management of all technology disciplines within the air navigation services environment. This includes engineering design, software development, technology architecture, infrastructure management, asset management, installation and maintenance, technical training, workload planning, maintenance program development, project management, and logistics support.
The Air Traffic Services Development (ATSD) unit is responsible for providing safe and reliable Air Traffic Management (ATM) systems to our Service Delivery group. ATSD plays a vital role in enhancing and troubleshooting systems, as well as offering operational support and adaptability.
About the Role
We are excited to announce an opportunity for an ANS Requirements Specialist to join our Oceanic Systems team. This is a permanent, full-time position based in our Oceanic Centre, located across from The Quad at Auckland Airport. This role focuses primarily on testing and quality assurance.
In this role, you will support the Oceanic Systems Team Leader in the development and enhancement of operational systems for Oceanic Air Traffic Services. Your work will be pivotal in improving service delivery by adapting to the changing needs of our customers and staff.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting testing and quality assurance in accordance with Airways' testing framework, ensuring that requirements are met and systems are fit for purpose.
- Collaborating with the Oceanic Systems team, fostering teamwork and knowledge sharing under the guidance of your Team Leader.
About You
We are looking for a candidate with strong organizational skills, effective communication abilities, and a collaborative approach. You should be known for your capacity to build lasting relationships.
Additionally, you will possess:
- A minimum of ten years of experience, including extensive requirements development and testing experience.
- A relevant tertiary qualification in business or a related field.
- ISTQB Foundation certification.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, including Outlook, Excel, Teams, and SharePoint.
- The ability to work autonomously in ambiguous situations, manage tight deadlines, and demonstrate resilience and agility while taking ownership of your work.
Desirable qualifications include:
- Recent knowledge or experience in aviation.
- Familiarity with requirements, testing, and defect management toolsets.
- A good understanding of the Oceanic Control System and procedures, or a willingness to undergo training.
- An understanding of the regulatory environment, both in New Zealand and internationally.
