About the Role We are excited to offer a permanent, full-time position based in Greenlane as part of our senior management team. This role presents a unique opportunity to positively impact patients and their families accessing outpatient appointments at Te Toka Tumai. The successful candidate will leverage their leadership and management expertise to support our Patient Administration functions, ensuring we deliver exceptional patient support. We are seeking an experienced people leader to inspire a team of Outpatient Schedulers and Surgical Bookers. The team provides a variety of services, ensuring a dynamic work environment. You will collaborate closely with our Operations Manager and work among a large team of over 200 staff who provide comprehensive administrative support across referral management, outpatient and theatre bookings, and reception duties at Te Toka Tumai. In this role, you will lead Supervisors and their teams to deliver high-quality services to patients and their families attending both outpatient and inpatient appointments. Building relationships with various stakeholders within the organization will be essential to ensure that excellent service is provided, staff are adequately supported, and national waiting time standards are met. This position is an excellent opportunity for you to demonstrate your leadership and management skills while further developing your project management abilities. Requirements To thrive in this role, you will need: - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Proven experience in people leadership and management - Strong analytical and financial skills - A solid understanding of the public health sector - Enthusiasm for sharing your expertise with others - The ability to multitask and deliver results - A great sense of humor We are looking for a proactive, solution-oriented Business Support Manager who excels in a collaborative work environment and is prepared to step in for our Operations Manager as needed. Previous experience in the health sector, particularly in scheduling and booking, would be an advantage.
