We are currently seeking to expand our crew by adding skilled Hydro Excavation Operators who are ready to contribute to our commitment to excellence.
About the Role
We are looking for dedicated Hydro Excavation Operators who enjoy a physically active work environment where no two days are alike. This position involves operating high-pressure water equipment to safely break up soil and vacuuming debris from various worksites. You will need to be comfortable with hands-on, gritty work, as well as managing your truck, equipment, and paperwork to a high standard.
Key responsibilities include:
- Operating high-pressure water equipment to efficiently break up soil
- Vacuuming and carefully removing debris from worksites
- Working around sensitive underground infrastructure and services
- Maintaining and managing your truck and equipment
Requirements
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:
- Previous experience in hydro excavation or civil/drainage work
- A full, clean Class 2 or 4 NZ driver's licence
- Physical fitness and capability for manual work
- Comfort with outdoor work in various weather conditions
- Ability to pass a drug and alcohol screening along with a Ministry of Justice check
- Strong communication skills and a focus on teamwork
- Reliability, a safety-conscious mindset, and enthusiasm for the job
