About the Company
At Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora, we are dedicated to creating a health system that serves all New Zealanders, firmly grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi. Our commitment to excellence and inclusivity drives us to ensure that we provide outstanding healthcare to our diverse community.
About the Role
We are currently seeking consultant anaesthetists to join our friendly and supportive team at Hawke's Bay Fallen Soldiers Memorial Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to cover for colleagues on sabbatical leave, and we have both full-time and part-time hours available.
Our hospital offers a collegial work environment that encompasses a wide range of surgical and medical specialties, allowing you to engage with a diverse patient population.
About the Team/Service/Location
Hawke's Bay Fallen Soldiers Memorial Hospital is located in Hastings, on the east coast of New Zealand's North Island. As a large, secondary level, 400-bed accredited public facility, we provide both acute and elective care to a region with a population exceeding 176,000.
In recent years, Hawke's Bay has seen significant population growth and demographic changes. Our facility offers a broad array of surgical, medical, oncology, and radiological services. Due to this growth, we are in need of considerable expansion, making the next few years particularly exciting for our team.
The private healthcare sector in Hawke's Bay is also expanding rapidly, presenting opportunities for health professionals to broaden their practice. Royston and Kaweka private hospitals are conveniently located near our facility.
Living in Hawke's Bay offers an excellent work-life balance, with access to beautiful beaches, outdoor adventures, great schools, mountains, skiing, outstanding food, and stunning wineries. Our vibrant cities provide plenty of cultural and recreational activities. For more information on living and working in Hawke's Bay, please visit our website.
