    About the Company Tradestaff Global is currently seeking expressions of interest from skilled tradespeople to work at McMurdo Station in Antarctica during the upcoming summer season. This exciting opportunity will take place from October 2025 to March 2026, with deployment expected around October. Return dates will be confirmed at a later stage. Working in Antarctica is not for everyone; it involves staying for several months in one of the most remote yet stunning locations on the planet. About the Role In this role, you will engage in construction activities unlike any other. We are looking for dedicated team players who are willing to get hands-on with the work, contribute to the team, and support one another. You will participate in a large commercial construction project, and we require a variety of skills and backgrounds in construction. The specific trades we are interested in include: - Tile Installers - Flooring Installers - Painters Requirements Please note that due to travel restrictions, we can only accept applications from New Zealand and US citizens who possess New Zealand or US passports and are currently residing and working in New Zealand. Additionally, you will need to meet the following criteria: - Willingness to receive Flu, Tdap, and MMR vaccinations. - Understand that these roles are not 'fly in, fly out'; you will be on-site for an extended period. - Be prepared to work long hours, six days a week. - Start dates are approximate and depend on successful completion of medical and dental checks, obtaining security clearance, your notice period, and availability of flights to the ice. - Pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test. - Hold a Full Class 1 NZ Driver Licence and maintain a clean criminal record. - Be ready for a lengthy application process that requires patience. - Travel to Tauranga for medical and dental exams; we will cover testing and flights if you are traveling from outside the Bay of Plenty. Benefits We offer a competitive hourly rate of $66.11, paid fortnightly in NZD for a 54-hour work week. Flight arrangements will be provided from any major New Zealand airport, along with food, shared accommodation, and travel insurance. We supply all necessary personal protective equipment.
