About the Role
We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Joiner for a large-scale commercial interior fit-out project. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work on high-spec joinery installations within a supportive and well-managed environment.
As a Joiner, you will be responsible for installing a variety of joinery components, including cabinetry, wall linings, skirting, and other architectural features, all to a high standard of finish.
The working hours for this role are from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday. The pay rate will be based on your skill level, ranging from $35 to $42 per hour.
Key Responsibilities
- Install detailed and custom joinery elements according to plans and specifications
- Work within precise tolerances while maintaining a strong focus on quality
- Collaborate with site supervisors and other trades as required
- Interpret shop drawings and adhere to project timelines
- Maintain safe and tidy work practices in accordance with site protocols
Requirements
- NZ Trade Certification in Carpentry or Joinery (Level 4 or equivalent)
- Proven experience in commercial joinery installations
- Ability to read and interpret construction and joinery drawings
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
- Own tools and reliable transportation
- Capability to pass pre-employment checks, including drug and alcohol testing
Desirable
- Current Site Safe Passport
- EWP or Working at Heights certification
- First Aid certificate
