About the Role
We are currently hiring full-time Scaffolders for permanent positions. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on significant infrastructure and commercial projects throughout the country. The role requires an organized and trustworthy individual who takes pride in delivering quality workmanship. You will be part of a dynamic team, with site locations determined by project demands.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for building and erecting scaffolding and working platforms for various construction projects. You will also be tasked with constructing structures such as stands and tiered seating for public events, including concerts and sporting events.
Your duties will include inspecting the areas requiring scaffolding, making necessary calculations to determine the appropriate scaffolding type, unloading materials, and assembling tubing and braces to create frameworks. You will also be responsible for fitting ladders, rails, and other attachments to the scaffolding.
Additionally, you will check and maintain scaffolding equipment, inspect scaffolding structures for safety, and dismantle scaffolding upon project completion. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Requirements
To be considered for this position, you should have a minimum of two years of relevant scaffolding experience. We value a friendly demeanor, strong time management skills, and an excellent work ethic. A commitment to learning and developing your skills within the industry is essential, as is a solid understanding of health and safety procedures. Reliability and a strong work ethic are key attributes we seek in our team members.
Nationwide Opportunity and Travel
While this role is listed in Canterbury, we are looking to fill positions across all regions of New Zealand based on project requirements. This includes areas in the North Island, such as Northland, Auckland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Gisborne, Hawke's Bay, Taranaki, Manawatū-Whanganui, and Wellington, as well as regions in the South Island, including Tasman, Nelson, Marlborough, West Coast, Canterbury, Otago, and Southland.
We welcome applicants from any of these regions and encourage a willingness to travel or relocate as necessary. Relocation costs will be covered by the company.
Benefits
We offer a competitive pay range starting at a minimum of $25.00 per hour, with the potential to earn up to $40.00 per hour. You will receive a guaranteed minimum of 30 hours per week, along with the provision of personal protective equipment and tools.
