Christchurch Hospital is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Interventional Cardiologist to join our dynamic team. About the Role
In the role of Interventional Cardiologist, your responsibilities will include:
- Performing a variety of interventional procedures, such as elective and acute angioplasty and complex coronary interventions.
- Participating in the acute management of cardiovascular emergencies and complex cases.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including cardiothoracic surgery, radiology, and intensive care, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Providing clinical leadership and training to junior doctors and allied health professionals.
- Engaging in ongoing research and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
- Participating in an on-call roster as part of a dedicated team.
About You
To be successful in this position, you will possess:
- Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) or an equivalent specialist qualification.
- Registration or eligibility for registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand as a specialist in cardiology.
- Extensive experience in interventional cardiology, particularly in complex coronary interventions.
- A strong commitment to patient-centered care, clinical excellence, and teamwork.
- A passion for innovation, research, and teaching.
