About the Role
We are currently seeking experienced Youth Workers to join our vibrant team at Bay of Plenty Youth Respite. This is a permanent, part-time position, with working hours from 07:00 am to 03:30 pm, Sunday through Wednesday. In this role, you will play a crucial part in guiding young individuals towards improved wellbeing and personal growth. If you are passionate about fostering confidence and resilience in youth and enjoy working in a collaborative environment, we encourage you to apply. The position reports directly to the Team Coach.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates should have:
- The New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (NZCHW) - Level 4 or an equivalent qualification, or a willingness to work towards this qualification.
- Experience working with children and young people, along with an understanding of trauma-informed care.
- A current full New Zealand driver’s licence.
- A current New Zealand first aid certificate, or a willingness to obtain one.
- Knowledge of, and a demonstrated commitment to, the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
