Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora, Nelson Marlborough is seeking an experienced Psychiatrist for our Adult Community Mental Health team. About the Role
This is a permanent, full-time position at Wairau Hospital in Blenheim, with part-time options available upon negotiation. We offer a negotiable start date, and importantly, there are no on-call or weekend requirements associated with this role. As a Psychiatrist in our team, you will deliver quality services to a population of approximately 49,000 in Blenheim. You will work alongside a supportive multidisciplinary team that includes Medical Officers, Clinical Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, Registered Nurses, Social Workers, and employment specialists. Requirements
We are looking for an ideal candidate who possesses the following qualifications and attributes:
- Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists, or an equivalent qualification.
- Eligibility for an Annual Practising Certificate and vocational registration in Psychiatry with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
- Experience in consult-liaison psychiatry is preferred but not essential.
- A commitment to fostering a cohesive team culture characterized by collaborative practice, openness, humor, and respect across disciplines.
- A dedication to continuing medical education and professional development.

The salary for this position will be based on the current Senior Medical and Dental Officer collective agreement, taking into account your skills, experience, and vocational registration in New Zealand. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer:

- Access to an employer-matched Superannuation contribution of up to 6% of annual earnings.
