About the Role We invite you to join our Adult Mental Health teams within our community. We currently have vacancies for full-time or part-time positions, available as permanent or fixed-term employment. Our Mental Health, Addiction and Intellectual Disability Service (MHAIDS) serves the lower North Island of New Zealand, including Wairarapa, Hutt Valley, and Capital and Coast, encompassing local, regional, and national services. Our adult community mental health services focus on supporting individuals aged 18 to 65 who are experiencing moderate to severe mental health challenges. We provide a blend of urban and rural services, each characterized by the unique needs of the communities we serve. Our multidisciplinary teams consist of psychologists, social workers, nurses, and occupational therapists, all dedicated to delivering high standards of care. We strive to create a supportive and flexible working environment for our staff and are committed to upholding the principles of Te Tiriti O Waitangi (the Treaty of Waitangi) in all aspects of our services. Requirements To be considered for this position, you must be vocationally registered in Psychiatry with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ) or possess an equivalent qualification that qualifies you for registration with MCNZ.
