With breathtaking views of the Kaikōura mountain range, our hotel features 120 well-appointed rooms, a restaurant, bar, conference facilities, and an infinity pool.
About the Role
We are looking for a flexible and reliable Kitchen Hand to join our friendly kitchen team at Hiku, Sudima Kaikōura. This part-time position offers an hourly rate of $24.00. The ideal candidate will contribute to our kitchen operations by assisting with various tasks and supporting our senior chefs.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Supporting with stock deliveries
- Washing dishes and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen
- Assisting with basic food preparation
- Following the guidance of senior chefs
- Adhering to strict health and hygiene standards
About You
We are seeking an individual who:
- Enjoys practical work
- Can work quickly and safely with minimal supervision
- Remains calm under pressure
- Is able to lift heavy pots and equipment
- Demonstrates enthusiasm and initiative
- Is flexible with availability for rostered shifts, including public holidays and weekends
- Holds current valid rights to work in New Zealand
