About the Role
We are excited to invite a passionate Industrial Electrician to join our ITS team in Wellington. In this role, you will play a key part in our commitment to delivering exceptional electrical services across various environments, including industrial, mechanical, HVAC, civil works, traffic signal installations, and communications systems.
Key Responsibilities
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Installation and Maintenance: Conducting the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, particularly in mechanical and HVAC applications, civil works, traffic signal systems, and communications infrastructure in diverse commercial settings, while ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnosing and resolving electrical issues, providing effective solutions to minimize downtime.
- Compliance: Ensuring that all work adheres to safety regulations and industry standards, maintaining a high level of quality in every project.
- Documentation: Keeping accurate records of work performed, including inspections, repairs, and compliance documentation.
- Collaboration: Working closely with other trades, subcontractors, and team members to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems and installations.
Requirements
We are seeking candidates who possess the following skills and qualifications:
- A current Electrician’s practicing license with the Electrical Workers Registration Board (EWRB) and must be a registered Electrician in New Zealand.
- A valid full Class 1 driver’s license.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Willingness to complete essential daily safety tasks, job sheets, and timesheets.
- Flexibility to travel occasionally and stay away from home as needed.
- Participation in an on-call roster is required.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Solid computer skills and familiarity with various computer applications.
The ideal candidate will have substantial electrical experience, particularly in industrial electrics and electronics. Programming skills will be considered an advantage, as will the ability to troubleshoot programming issues.
