About the Role
We are currently looking for a permanent full-time Clinical Unit Administrator to join our Perioperative Department at Whakatane Hospital. In this position, you will serve as a vital link between patients, clinical staff, and non-clinical personnel, ensuring that inquiries are handled efficiently and professionally.
To succeed in this role, you will need to thrive in a dynamic environment, meet deadlines effectively, and provide outstanding customer service. Your ability to build strong relationships with all stakeholders will be essential.
About the Location
Whakatane is blessed with some of the highest sunshine hours in New Zealand, offering award-winning beaches perfect for both surfing and relaxation. The area is home to stunning bush-clad walkways and beautiful swimming spots, all within a short distance from the hospital.

About You
We are looking for someone who possesses:
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, including a professional phone manner
- The ability to prioritize tasks and perform well under pressure while maintaining high-quality workmanship
- Well-developed computer skills, with the capacity to learn software related to surgical services
- A positive, flexible attitude, and a good sense of humor
- Ideally, familiarity with Webpas, MCP, Microsoft Office, Oracle, and Omtrak
- Experience in a hospital environment
