About the Role
We are currently looking for an experienced administrator to join our Cancer Centre team on a permanent part-time basis (0.8 FTE). In this role, you will provide essential administration support, reception services, and scheduling tasks. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver high-quality, accurate administrative and customer service support to patients, families, health professionals, and all other consumers of Bay of Plenty Hauora a Toi.
About the Team/Service/Location
The Cancer Centre Administration team plays a crucial role in supporting our clinical team to achieve best practice acute care standards, quality care, and performance outcomes. Our services are spread across a vast geographical area, centered in Tauranga and Whakatane. We strive to provide comprehensive healthcare to our community, which includes major population centers such as Tauranga, Katikati, Te Puke, Whakatane, Kawerau, and Opotiki.
About You
To thrive in this position, you will need to be self-motivated and capable of working under pressure. A strong customer focus, teamwork skills, flexibility, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities are essential for success. Previous administration experience, proficiency in computer skills, and data entry experience are required. While familiarity with the internal workings of the Oncology/Haematology team would be advantageous, it is not a prerequisite for application.
