About the Role
We are currently seeking Construction Technicians to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that are essential to our projects, ensuring that we meet or exceed customer expectations. Flexibility is important, as you may be required to work across various locations throughout the country.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing tasks within your skillset that support our business operations
- Complying with all aspects of contracts and projects
- Erecting scaffolding or ladders for assembling structures above ground level
- Creating structures, forms, or chutes and pouring concrete
- Covering subfloors with building paper and laying hardwood, parquet, or wood-strip-block floors
- Filling cracks or defects in plaster or plasterboard and sanding patches
- Positioning and securing steel bars, rods, cables, or mesh in concrete forms
- Conducting general labor, including cleaning construction sites as directed by managers
- Loading and unloading building materials, tools, and equipment
- Performing other duties as assigned
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Some experience in the construction industry is preferable, though not essential
- A friendly demeanor, strong time management skills, and an excellent work ethic
- A commitment to learning and developing your skills within the industry
- A sound knowledge of health and safety procedures
- Reliability and a strong work ethic
Benefits
This position offers a competitive pay range of $25.00 to $32.00 per hour, with a minimum guarantee of 30 hours of work each week.
Location
You may be required to work in various locations across New Zealand, including Auckland, Northland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Hawke's Bay, Taranaki, Gisborne, Whanganui-Manawatu, Wellington, Marlborough, Nelson-Tasman, Canterbury, West Coast, Otago, and Southland.
This is a permanent, full-time position.
