About the Role
As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:
- Analyzing drawings and specifications to determine the necessary materials, methods, sequences, and settings.
- Fitting and assembling fabricated metal parts into machines and equipment.
- Utilizing precision instruments to ensure accuracy and proper fit.
- Operating CNC machines, lathes, mills, grinders, and presses to shape and cut metal.
- Setting guides, controls, dies, and shaping tools.
- Forming metal stock and castings to fine tolerances.
- Cutting, bending, and installing hydraulic and pneumatic pipes and lines.
- Diagnosing faults and performing maintenance, repairs, and overhauls.
- Potentially erecting and installing machinery on-site.
Requirements
We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:
- A minimum of 3 years of CNC machining experience.
- Trade qualifications are preferred; however, relevant experience may be considered as a substitute.
- Candidates must possess their own tools and have reliable transportation.
- Two work references are required.
- A strong commitment to health and safety practices.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test.
- A Class 1 license is preferred but not essential.
