About the Role As we prepare for the opening of One New Zealand Stadium, we are excited to invite applications for Casual Chefs to join our staffing pool. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a highly experienced kitchen team based in our production kitchen at Wolfbrook Arena. You will play an essential role in delivering outstanding culinary experiences for events ranging from small gatherings to large-scale functions with up to 5,000 guests. Working with high-quality local ingredients, you will help create some of the best event dishes in New Zealand. Your responsibilities will include supporting the culinary execution for all Venues Otautahi events, ensuring that we maintain our commitment to high-quality catering. You will assist the senior kitchen team with daily operations in both the banqueting and production kitchens, which involves food preparation, portioning, cooking, maintaining food safety standards, and ensuring that kitchen areas are organized and efficient. Your contributions will be vital in delivering a market-leading catering experience and supporting operational excellence across all our venues. About You We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications: - Previous experience in a commercial kitchen - A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role - A proven ability to meet deadlines and deliver to a set standard in a fast-paced environment - Flexibility to work early mornings, weekdays, evenings, and weekends - Capability to travel to our various venues as needed Our guests deserve an exceptional experience, and with the support of a dedicated team, you will help us ensure they receive just that.
