About the Role We are currently seeking experienced Chefs to join our team of casual staff in the Tauranga, Mt Maunganui, and Papamoa regions. This role offers you the flexibility to work around other commitments, allowing you to choose when and where you work. As a Chef with us, you will oversee and manage the dining services team in busy kitchens within rest homes, hospitals, and retirement villages. Your responsibilities will include coordinating all aspects of kitchen food service delivery and ensuring that all residents receive meals prepared with love, creativity, and passion. You will also be expected to meet food quality, budgetary, and hygiene standards while leading and inspiring your kitchen team to deliver meals at a high standard. Maintaining a clean, efficient, and welcoming workspace is essential. Requirements To be considered for this position, you will need: - A food industry (Chef) qualification - At least 2 years of experience working in a busy commercial kitchen or café - A Food Safety Certificate - Strong food hygiene skills and excellent personal hygiene - Outstanding customer service, time management, communication, and leadership skills - The ability to manage a team in a fast-paced food preparation environment - Access to reliable transport to travel to our clients' facilities - A reliable, motivated attitude with a passion for your work A Bit About Working for Us Our mobile app allows you to update your availability, check your roster, view payslips, accept or decline shifts, communicate with our team, and sign timesheets.
