About the Role We are currently seeking an experienced Cook for a fixed-term, part-time position at our Rose Court Facility in Christchurch. In this role, you will assist with cooking in our on-site commercial kitchen, ensuring that all nutritional requirements are met for our residents. Your responsibilities will include preparing nutritious and visually appealing meals on a four-week rotating menu. You will maintain excellent food hygiene practices at all times, work independently in a fast-paced environment, and manage the cleaning of food preparation areas and kitchens. Additionally, you will operate the dishwasher and handle food deliveries. Requirements To be successful in this role, you should possess a strong knowledge of food preparation and safety. Familiarity with food safety standards (167/168) is essential. A Food Handling certificate is required, or we are willing to support you in obtaining one. We are looking for someone with experience in a commercial kitchen setting, who is dedicated, reliable, and has a caring nature, especially when it comes to working with the elderly. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as a team player are also important for this position.
