About the Role
We are looking for a Cardiac Physiology Technician or a Technician Trainee to join our dedicated team in the Cardiac Physiology Department at Waitemata District. This department is rapidly evolving, with a focus on enhancing the future of Cardiology within our district.
In this role, you will engage in various procedures, including:
- Performing ECGs, Holter, ABU, and Event monitor fittings
- Conducting Exercise Treadmill Tests (ETTs) and Spirometry
You will be responsible for conducting these tests to a high standard while maintaining thorough documentation. We are pleased to offer full training and educational support to help you succeed in this position.
About You
The ideal candidate will be required to enroll as a member of The Society of Cardiopulmonary Technology (SCT) and pursue the Certificate in Physiological Measurement to become registered with the Clinical Physiologists Registration Board (CPRB).
To be considered for this position, you should demonstrate the following qualifications and skills:
- NCEA Level Three and/or Bursary in two sciences (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics), mathematics, and English
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
- Capacity to work effectively within a busy multidisciplinary team
- Strong attention to detail
- A compassionate approach towards patients
Please note that this position is not suitable for qualified or graduate Physiologists.
