About the Role We are currently seeking Junior Structural Steel Fabricators to join our team. In this role, you will be integral to our projects across six regions, so we prefer candidates who are flexible with their work locations. We are looking for organized and trustworthy individuals who take pride in their work and are motivated to achieve results. The Junior Structural Steel Fabricator will be responsible for the following tasks: - Following engineering plans, blueprints, and drawings - Assembling steel structures and securing them using bolts, rivets, or welding - Installing structural steel components at construction sites - Cutting, shaping, and welding steel materials to meet required specifications using machine or hand tools - Collaborating with other trades as needed - Performing repairs or modifications to existing steel structures when necessary - Working effectively as part of a team Requirements To be successful in this position, candidates should possess the following skills and experience: - Previous experience in steel fixing, welding, fabrication, or related occupations - A friendly demeanor and an excellent work ethic - Strong time management skills - A commitment to learning and developing skills within the industry - An understanding of health and safety procedures - Reliability and a strong work ethic - Ability to pass a criminal check and drug test Benefits We offer competitive pay conditions, with a minimum wage starting at $26.00 per hour and a maximum of $40.00 per hour. You can expect a minimum of 30 hours of work guaranteed per week. Location The primary areas of work will be across Auckland, Waikato, Northland, Nelson, Canterbury, and Otago.
