With three bustling workshops located in Nelson, Blenheim, and Havelock, we are committed to delivering exceptional quality and service to our clients. Our Havelock operation is expanding, and we are currently seeking a skilled Marine Upholsterer to join our team.
About the Role
In this position, you will spend approximately 75% of your time focused on marine projects, which include crafting luxury boat seats, biminis, clears, carpets, and custom covers. The remaining time will involve a variety of general upholstery work, vehicle interiors, shade solutions, and tarpaulins. You will primarily work from our Havelock workshop, with the option to be based in Blenheim, just a scenic 20-minute drive away.
Key Responsibilities
- Precision measuring, cutting, and fabrication of marine and outdoor textile products
- Delivering high-quality work independently with a sense of pride and accountability
- Working with a diverse range of materials, including canvas, PVC, mesh, and vinyl
- Maintaining client relationships and representing our brand positively in the local community
About You
We are looking for a true craftsperson who possesses a keen eye for detail and quality. You should feel confident working independently and managing projects from start to finish. Experience in marine or automotive upholstery is preferred, as is a passion for boats and the outdoors. Excellent communication skills and a genuine team-oriented attitude are essential for success in this role.
